The ADC Adscope 600 is engineered for performance, comfort, and durability. The bi-lumen (dual channel) headset optimizes the acoustic pathway while our adjustable frequency (AFD) technology, housed in a compact, sculpted design, allows you to tune the diaphragm to enhance both high- and low-frequency response. The ergonomic cardiology headset, made with heavy-walled tubing, large-diameter aural tubes, and a double-leaf tensioning spring, wears easily while withstanding thousands of cycles. Our Cardiology Series features an all stainless-steel construction (tactical finish has black anodized aluminum binaurals), ensuring a lifetime of use.

  • The Best Design and the Finest Components

ADC products are manufactured from the finest materials with an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and durability. We offer proprietary features not found anywhere else, like gasket-sealed chestpieces, Adsoft Plus silicone eartips, the Adcuff with Size Guide marking system, and our remarkable gauge movements. Compare the quality and performance – and most important, the value – and you’ll discover the ADC difference.

  • Domestic Assembly, Inspection, and Packaging

The medical device market is rich with manufacturers. Some boast cheap imports that are often of questionable quality. Others sell high-quality products at higher prices. We offer the best of both worlds. We strive to bring you the highest quality instruments by combining fine craftsmanship from the world’s leading subcontractors, with domestic inspection, assembly, and packaging in our New York facility. Most of the core diagnostic products we offer are fully assembled in the U.S. from globally sourced components to guarantee that your experience with our products will be nothing short of excellent.

  • Rigorous Quality Control

We subject virtually every component to rigorous quality control checks using custom-built testing equipment like gauge endurance machines, valve-and-bladder leak test machines, and thermometer baths. These ensure the parts used in our products meet or beat the toughest national and international standards on the market today. As part of our commitment to quality, ADC has earned and maintains certification to the ISO 13485 quality management system standard, specifically written for medical device manufacturers.

  • Award-Winning Customer Service

We’ve been winning awards almost as long as we’ve been in business, recognizing individual products and product lines, overall performance, customer support programs, and industry leadership. Our state-of-the-art distribution, combined with a knowledgeable, courteous staff, guarantees that the service you receive will be as outstanding as the products we deliver.

  • Commitment to Social Responsibility

Here at ADC we believe we have a responsibility to help others, whether they are local, national, or international. As a company, we dedicate our time and resources towards bettering the world we live in. From our partnership with the AHRC in providing employment for adults with disabilities, to direct financial support (through our cause-branded products) to the American Cancer Society and Els for Autism, to medical supply donations to organizations like AmeriCares and Project Hope, our social responsibility programs reach all corners of the globe.

Adscope clinician stethoscopes are the most feature-rich, precision crafted professional line of scopes on the market. ADC offers ten clinician models in our Adscope line, with styling for both adult and pediatric patients. All are individually acoustic tested in the USA, and all offer a lifetime warranty and free parts forever.

Tubing
Our PVC tubing is soft and flexible and is made without phthalates or natural rubber latex. Adscope clinician tubing provides the ideal balance of acoustic excellent and lightweight comfort. Multiple color options (more than two dozen, depending on the model) allow for personalization. Three models also feature limited-edition printed tubing as part of our Adscope LE line.

Headset (binaural/tubing)
Our clinician stethoscope headset consists of the aural tubes, eartips, tensioning springs, and tubing. The aural tubes are made from either German stainless steel for rugged durability, or aluminum alloy for lightweight comfort. Binaurals are fixed at 15° to comfortably fit the ear canal and provide a proper acoustic seal. A reinforcing yoke, at the base of the headset, improves durability and acoustic transmission. Tension can be adjusted: gently pull apart for a looser fit, gently squeeze together for a tighter fit.

Eartips
All Adscope clinician stethoscopes are built with Adsoft Plus snap-on silicone eartips for the ultimate in wearing comfort and acoustic seal. Scopes are built with our smaller size eartips on the instrument, and we include an accessory kit with one large pair and one additional small pair.

Chestpiece
The chestpiece is the portion of the stethoscope that conducts sound. On our clincian models, the chestpiece may be one sided (Adscope 615, 612, 614, 618) or two sided (Adscope 608, 603, 619, 604, and 605). The flat side is known as the diaphragm for the membrane used to conduct sounds. The more concave side is called the bell. On two-sided models, the chestpiece rotates around a valve stem that “activates” the selected side (while closing off sound to the inactive side). ADC clinician chestpieces can be made from stainless steel or zinc alloy for rugged durability, or aluminum alloy for lightweight comfort. Clinician models are available in adult, pediatric, and infant sizes.

Diaphragm
The diaphragm side is typically used for higher-frequency sounds. Nearly all clinician models feature our tunable diaphragm with Adjustable Frequency Design (AFD) technology.

AFD allows you to detect a much wider range of frequencies by altering pressure. Diaphragms are held securely in place with a non-chill rim for patient comfort.

Bell
The bell side is for listening to medium- or lower-frequency sounds. A non-chill bell ring around the perimeter provides patient comfort. The 603, 604, 605, 608, and 619 all feature a two-sided chestpiece with a diaphragm and a bell. On the Convertible 608, the bell can be removed and replaced with a pediatric diaphragm featuring AFD technology for enhanced versatility.

Which ADC Stethoscope Is Right for Me?

One of the most common, if not the most common question we get is how to choose the stethoscope that’s best for you. In general there is no one scope that’s “right” for any particular healthcare professional. It’s more of a well choreographed dance – one that balances performance, comfort, technology, budget, and style.

Not everyone needs a top-of-the line electronic or cardiology scope. And even those who could use the enhanced acoustic performance, versatility, or feature set of our finest scopes might not be able to justify the premium price. Some professionals are particularly sensitive to a scope’s weight, while others have a specific design they prefer.

I wish I could say there is a single right answer, but it really comes down to personal choice. In the end, we always suggest you test drive a few scopes and choose the model that provides the performance you need, that is comfortable for you to use and wear, and that’s within a budget that makes sense for you.

ADC scopes carry an MSRP from about $299 for our top-of-the-line Adscope 658 Electronic Stethoscope, to under $2 for a single patient use disposable scope, made entirely of plastics. With dozens of models to choose from, there’s bound to be an ADC scope that’s right for you.

We’ve taken two approaches to our recommendations: The first is a list based on your profession or the environment in which it will be used. The second is a list based on popular groupings.

Without further ado, here then is guide we’ve developed based on more than three decades of delivering the most comprehensive line of stethoscopes in the world.
